If you’re looking for Chandler from “Friends,” or the glamorous model
who is the face of Estee Lauder,
sorry, you won’t find them here! While in New York, service processor,
Joe (Matthew Perry) seeks out Sara (Elizabeth Hurley) to serve her with
divorce papers. Surprised by the service, she conspires with Joe to turn
the tables on her cheating Texas Husband. Serving Sara makes for an comical
journey pairing two opposites Matthew Perry and Elizabeth Hurley, taking
the audience on a fun filled adventure in the seemingly foreign territory
of Texas. The movie, directed by Reginald Hudlin, co-starring Cedric “The
Entertainer”, provides for a slapstick comedy that takes us far away from
the world of “Friends” but does not push the envelop of comedy into the
realm of “Austin Powers.” No stranger to the big screen, Cedric “The Entertainer”
expands his breadth of talent and wardrobe providing the audience with
a character that has you anxiously waiting to see his next scene. In addition
to exploring the versatility displayed by both Matthew Perry and Elizabeth
Hurley, the film will surely appeal to those who enjoy and appreciate
a little adventure with their cup of comedy. It introduces many of us
to the interesting world of process servers. The adventure, although at
times reaching for laughs, is undoubtedly worthy of its comedic categorization.
