Synopsis: On the surface, Michael Newman (Adam Sandler) seems to have it all,
yet with all the demands forced upon him by his ungrateful boss Ammer (David
Hasselhoff), Michael finds that setting aside time to spend with his loving
wife, Donna (Kate Beckinsale), and two picture-perfect children, Ben (Joseph
Castanon) and Samantha (Tatum McCann), has grown increasingly difficult. When
a frustrating bout with the television remote leads the overworked husband
and father to a nearby Bed, Bath & Beyond in search of a universal remote
with the power to control all of his electronic devices, a curious peek into
the back room leads Michael into the company of eccentric employee and talented
inventor Morty (Christopher Walken). It seems that Morty has created a device
that will not only allow Michael complete control over his television and stereo,
but his entire life as well. As Michael discovers that the remarkable device
has the power to muffle the barks of the family dog, zoom himself past an irritating
quarrel with his wife, and even allow him to travel back and forth through
time to different points in his life, the rush of being able to skip straight
to the good parts in life soon leaves him feeling as if he's missing out on
the total experience. Only when Michael begins to realize that the he has lost
control of his life and the remote is now programming him does he finally learn
that life is as much about the moments he'd rather forget as it is the moments
he will always remember.

Everybody Hates Chris - The First Season

Format: Box set, Color, Dolby, Widescreen, NTSC
Language: English
Number of discs: 4
Rating
Studio: Paramount Home Video
DVD Release Date: October 10, 2006
Synopsis: Motivated by his childhood experiences, Emmy Award-winner/actor/comedian
Chris Rock narrates this very hilarious & touching story of a teenager
growing up as the oldest of three children in Brooklyn, NY in 1982. 1982 is
the year that Chris (Tyler James Williams) turns 13. Filled with dreams of
being a cool teenager, Chris moves with his family from the projects to the "Bed-Stuy:
Do or Die" neighborhood. As the family's emergency adult, he's accountable
for taking care of his younger brother Drew (who's taller and more confident
than Chris) (Tequan Richmond) and sister Tonya (who gets all the parents' attention)
(Imani Hakim) while his parents are working. Chris' rough cost-conscious father
Julius (Terry Crews) works numerous jobs to properly support his family. Who
runs the household in a very tight budget is very strict and sassy mom Rochelle
(Tichina Arnold) who works part-time in a small real-estate office. With his
mom strong-minded to see him in a good school, while Drew and Tonya go to the
same school in their old neighborhood, Chris reluctantly faces multiple bus
transfers every day to attend Corleone Junior High in the fiercely Italian
neighborhood, South Shore. Although being an immediate target for bullies,
Chris' innate charm and sharp wit will enable him to make new friends at school
like Greg (Vincent Martella), another smart, nice kid...who can't fight, by
the way. As Chris Rock pointedly looks back, his younger self is set to find
what his family already knows: Chris' sharp, scrappy character is going to
take him places. But first, he's going to have to think, talk or run his way
through one growing experience after another at both home and school, and on
any number of buses along the way.
