May 6, 2007
On May 6, 2007 a number of rappers from different boroughs of New York City joined together in the closing night celebration of “Spider-Man Week in NYC. Done at the World Famous Theater in New York City, The Apollo, the program "It's A Rap" featured original raps about Spider-Man and his adventures by up-and-coming lyricists. Much like "Amateur Night at the Apollo", the rappers competed to win the approval of the world’s most notorious audience…and a brand new Sony Bravia TV! Hosted by comedian, radio personality and Apollo Amateur Night regular host, Talent, the event also featured a dancing segment and a performance by G.O.O.D. Music/Columbia Records artist and Queens’ own Consequence, performing material from his Don’t Quit Your Day Job CD.
Competing in the event were Male rap duo Collective Flow from the Bronx; Male rapper Ace Peyso of Brooklyn; Male rapper Sharky Conway of Long Island; Female rapper Dayonna Richardson of Harlem; Male rapper Loot of Harlem; Male rapper Hannibal of Queens and Female rapper Phynix of Staten Island. The dancers in the events were by Peace Star.
